I owned a C4CA until 2 years ago, but it had a plastic case and a different tweeter. But when I googled it, I also found it in the wooden housing with the tweeter in the display, but only actively. So it does appear to be a more recent C4C in a wooden case.
Thanks you for your help !

Well, I am speculating so take what I write with "a pinch of salt" but another clue might be the text on ATC's current C4CA page: "Formerly C3CA. Model changed to C4CA January 2020."; and that page's listing of the SCM20ASLT as the matching front/rear.
Maybe prior to then there was a C3C (passive) (and maybe that was formerly named as per the advert's "SCM20 SL centre"); plus a C3CA, in wood, both with SL drivers; and your C4CA. Then ATC made room in the line-up for the current C3C (passive) with non-SL drivers matching the SCM11, dropping the passive loudspeaker with SL drivers and changing the plastic enclosure you have to wood. Again this is entirely speculation but a plausible model range evolution I think. A call to ATC would get the real story I am sure.Last edited by jophill; 02-05-2022, 07:58 AM.

Thanks for your thoughs jophill !
I believe there are a few orders to ATC from private individuals around the world that occasionally come up for sale.
And these were never in the "official" ATC catalog.
So the SCM20ASL in wooden veneer that i saw on Ebay one year ago.
