Has anyone else had any trouble threading bare speaker cables through the binding posts of their ATCs?
I (like the rest of us) have been trying different cables with my passive SCM40s. Specifically, I'm looking for something to warm the sound, and while researching stumbled across Duelund tinned copper. Review here. My intention was to strip the end of the wire and connect the 3 sets of binding posts - saving on connectors, but also allowing me to ditch the supplied metal bar jumpers.
The problem I'm having with ATC binding posts is the holes in the posts are not aligned, but staggered/stepped - see photo. So it's a real pain, especially when aligned posts would be so much easier (see half way down the linked review). Also, the bare wire ends up in contact with the plastic surround of the posts (impact unknown).
Has anyone found a neater solution for this?
