Tweeter Upgrade

Has anyone managed to get any servicing done since the current woes began ? I was told that all available resources were going to production duties and that it was impossible to give any date to get the tweeter upgrade done. I suppose it's fair enough given the margin on the new 150 SE, but, the maintenance/repair function is an important part of the ATC schictk, and I hope they try and keep it ticking over.

I actually contacted Pete on Monday just gone, he was suggesting to contact again in September, in order to service my sub. Space being an issue for one thing.

I think all you can do is fill in the form, get in the system and check in with Pete on a regular basis to see if he can squeeze you in!

I’ve been taking kit back to the factory for 2 years now and I’ve never really known much down time from their side.

I‘m thinking about a tweeter upgrade but I‘m not shure if it would be a improvement for me. I‘ve found this diskussion at gearslutz and a member called „ATC addicted“ has his own opinion to this theme. His meaning ist, the step from Vifa to Seas was a great step to make a studio Monitor to a highend speaker and the new ATC tweeter goes back to the studio controlling sound and leaves the highend way for the audiophil consumers.

He is a little bit „crazy“ because he recommended to change the Seas tweeter in a turn of 3 years, but I‘m a little bit uncertain that the new tweeter will bring me so much more satisfaction, especially it is expensive and time-consuming. I think I‘ll change the tweeter when I send the power-packs to restoration.
